Thank you to PAIAM, The Professional Advisors to the International Art Market, for inviting Easel to talk at their annual conference hosted by Sothbey's in their Grosvenor Galleries.
The annual AGM hosted fascinating discussions on Brexit and its impact on the art industry and issues surrounding Authenticity, Restoration and Conservation. Highlights included Tom Toumaziz MBE, the CEO and Founder of Tagsmart ,talking about their revolutionary authenticity technology and the various problems it will be able to address in the future and a illuminating talk by Rupert Featherstone, Director of the Hamilton Kerr Institute and Assistant Director of Conservation at the Fitzwilliam Museum about some of his current conservation projects.
Our founder, Charlotte Maxwell, spoke about Easel and the initiative's aim to enhance the social mobility and meritocracy of the art industry. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet industry leaders and talk about the problems that Easel addresses and encourage companies to get involved in the mentoring programme.
